About Crop PDF
Scanned in too big, exported with massive whitespace, or just need to print tighter? Crop PDF lets you shave precise amounts off the left, right, top and bottom of every page.
We adjust the page's CropBox — the part of the page that viewers actually display. The underlying content stays intact, so nothing is lost; the cropping is reversible by clearing the CropBox if you change your mind.

Crop PDF — frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know.
What units do I use?
Points — the PDF native unit. 72 points = 1 inch = 25.4 mm. For 1 inch off each side, set all four values to 72.
Is the cropped-off content really removed?
Not physically — we adjust the CropBox so viewers display only the trimmed region. The original content is still in the file. Use Compress PDF after if you want to actually shrink the file size.
Can I crop different pages differently?
This endpoint applies the same crop to every page. For per-page cropping, run multiple jobs and merge with Merge PDF, or contact us for the roadmap.
Will the new crop print correctly?
Yes. Both screen viewers and printers honour the CropBox we set. Output prints at the cropped dimensions.
How do I find the right point values?
Open in Preview / Acrobat and check the page size in inches. Multiply by 72 to get points. Or trial-and-error with small values (e.g. 36 = 1/2 inch) first.
