About Word to PDF

Word to PDF is the single most-requested conversion on the planet — and the one that's easiest to get wrong. Browser-based converters cut corners and shred your formatting. Native Word exports require a licence you might not have.

Pixenith uses LibreOffice headless under the hood — the same engine that powers most enterprise document pipelines. Fonts, headers, footers, tables, embedded images and tracked changes render exactly as Word does, every time.

How Word to PDF works

Word to PDF — frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know.

Will my fonts look the same?

Yes for standard system fonts and any font embedded in the .docx. For unusual custom fonts, embed them in Word (File -> Options -> Save -> Embed fonts) before exporting.

Are tracked changes preserved?

Yes. Tracked changes and comments show in the PDF exactly as they appear in Word. Hide them in Word first if you want a clean output.

Does the PDF support hyperlinks?

Yes. Hyperlinks, cross-references and table-of-contents links are all preserved.

Can I convert .doc (the older format)?

Yes. We handle both .doc (Word 97-2003) and .docx natively.

What's the file size limit?

25 MB on the free plan, 200 MB on Pro, 500 MB on Business.

Is my Word document safe?

Yes. Files are encrypted in transit, processed in isolated worker pods, and auto-deleted within 60 minutes. We never read or train on your documents.
